Born in St. Pölten, Lower Austria, soprano Elisabeth Wieland has performed in countries like Italy, Great Britain, Romania, Austria and Germany.

Recent opera performances include Servilia in Mozarts La Clemenza di Tito with Maestro Neal Goren and stage director Alan E. Hicks in 2019 in Italy for Trentino Music Festival, Madame Herz in W. A. Mozarts Der Schauspieldirektor in a concert performance in Berlin in Dezember 2018, Ermione in G. F. Handels Oreste for HfMT Hamburg in Oktober 2018, Gretel in E. Humperdincks Hänsel und Gretel under the baton of Maestro Christopher Larkin and stage director Ophelie Wolf in July and August 2018 in Itlay for Trentino Music Festival, Barbarina in W. A. Mozarts Le Nozze di Figaro with stage director Eugenia Arsenis and Maestro Theodore Coresi in June 2018 in Romania for Teatrul del Arta Deva and La grande Pretresse, Oenone and Chasseresse in J. P. Rameaus Hippolyte et Aricie with Ensemble Orquesta in July 2017 in Great Britain.

While studying at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, Elisabeth performed Phillidel, Sirene, Nymph and Venus in Henry Purcells Semi-Opera King Arthur, took part in several outreach concerts for schools, where she performed as Sandmann and Taumann from E. Humperdincks Hänsel und Gretel, and also was a member of Grete Vogler-Kiesers Operetta-Ensemble, for touring semi-staged charity concerts, for several years, performing in over 20 concerts per year.

Elisabeth discovered her love for music and singing at an early age and was regularly involved in performances as soloist already during her school years.

She started her training as a singer during her high school years at the Conservatory St. Pölten with Ulrike Wedenig and went on to study at University of Music and Performing Arts Graz with Univ. Prof. Joanna Borowska-Isser. She graduated in June 2016. Since August 2016 she is based in Berlin, Germany, and continues to work with internationally renowned teachers, coaches and directors.

Elisabeth participated in several Masterclasses with Laura Aikin, David DQ Lee, Detlef Soelter, John Norris, Jeanne-Michele Charbonnet, Emma Kirkby, Claude Webster, Edda Moser, as well as courses on opera scenes and recit for the operas Don Giovanni (Zerlina) and Le nozze di Figaro (Susanna) with director Detelf Soelter and musical director Timothy Ribchester, and Young Artist Programs including Music Academy International, Balance Arts Opera Berlin and Summer Oper Program Tel Aviv.

Elisabeth was a semi-finalist in the Premiere Opera Foundation and Nyiop International Vocal Competition in 2020 and was awarded a career development award by the City of Graz in 2015.
